Flowers By Dustin has been located in downtown Belleville since it’s inception during the Second World War. Rebecca Burlington purchased the business in 2003 and is the second owner since the Dustin Family. After completing her BSCH at Queen’s University Rebecca moved on to the University of Guelph to study Horticulture. She returned to her hometown and stumbled upon floral design in the off-season as a means to augment her landscape design/build and nursery work. It was here that she discovered her true passion and after several years of training and on the job experience she was blessed with the opportunity to purchase the shop from the previous owner who was retiring. After 5 years in its existing location the shop relocated two doors down into a much brighter, newer and more modern space. This shop is filled with their signature chartreuse colour and provides fantastic natural light in which to design anything from the traditional basket arrangement to contemporary cube designs. Rebecca, Debbi, Susan, Bev, and Nancy are ready to welcome you with a friendly and professional attitude whether you’re on the phone, in the store or placing an order through their website. Rebecca and her team have been privileged to provide floral décor for some of the communities’ larger scale events including the Belleville General Hospital Foundations –A Night at the Gin Joint, The Canadian Cancer Society Gala, The Quinte Children’s Foundation Guardian Angel Gala, the Home for the Holidays Home Tour- 2010 to name a few. These events provide an opportunity to team up with the creative and dedicated committee members that organize them and a fabulous design outlet for fresh flowers while at the same time providing needed support to local groups and charities. Rebecca has also been fortunate enough to collaborate on many occasions with the world renowned and talented hair stylist Darek Wierzbicki of Studio 237; providing dramatic designs to enhance his gorgeous salon during their 25th anniversary grand reopening and fashion and hair couture shows. Her contemporary designs in shades of whites and greens are displayed at the studio weekly. The shop has recently started providing seasonal floral design classes to small groups and Rebecca is also available on a one on one basis for private lessons.
